The experience of Frutillar's city, located in the shores of the Lake Llanquihue, gathers all the elements of this process of human settlement in adverse conditions of the Chilean Patagonia.
The isolation, the climatic rigor and the indomitable nature meant an enormous challenge for the German colonists that established themselves in these lands between Osorno and Puerto Montt.
From it foundation in 1856, Frutillar's community has achieved it development harmonized with the nature.
