Here there are some alternatives to travel from or to Frutillar,whether by car or air
Access to Llanquihue Lake :
By road from villages
International route (Lagos crossroad) Rute 225. At present, it is being paved from Cascadas to Ensenada, so the circumvallation of the lake is posible to cross upon 90% and it is only obstructed between Puerto Varas and Llanquihue districts.
By highway from North and South
Rute 5 Panamerican highway (perfect conditions double track), it connects the metropoli Santiago with Puerto Montt, placing the closest point to the Llanquihue Lake in the town of Frutillar, Llanquihue and Puerto Varas.
Air
El Tepual Airport in Puerto Montt offers access to international as well as national passengers. Osorno and Valdivia Airports offer local flights only. Besides, it exists an aerodrome in Frutillar Alto, whose grass track is in excellent conditions.
